Bio

I am REALLY not good at blogging, or communicating personally this way.  But, I am passionate about promoting more women into STEM and keeping them there until they want to retire, so I think this is a good place to start.

I have a MS in geology and education, but am working in a very high end reservoir characterization consulting firm that does work world wide.  It is like being in a lab and doing “high” think problem solving everyday.  It is so creative and being able to do this kind of science/geology is very rare these days.

I am realizing that being 50, that I have no women peers, or close friends for that matter and that there is a HUGE lack of people let alone women coming up the pipeline in geosciences in the US educational system (only 4500 graduates with MS degrees last year).  Considering the issue of global warming and the environment alone, .... the US had better pay attention.
