I have a total crush on the Grissom and Greggy characters on CSI (Las Vegas).  I think it is because I understand the characters quirky geeky sense of humor.  I like how Greggy’s character has developed into a more varied character - you see that he has a brain and a sense of humor and his own interest in pop culture.

Do any of you guys pick the geeks out of the shows and movies?  I get totally teased for my prediliction by my family. lol. Luckily my fiance does not feel threatened by a fictional character!

Oh oh - I forgot the charactor of Gilbert Blythe in the Anne of Green Gables and Avonlee series. Your mentioning early cruses reminded me of that! lol.

Agreed on Steve Carell in Dan in Real Life (um… and Steve Carell in real life), and Stephen Colbert, and let me just add Dr. Drew Pinsky… the addiction specialist who used to be on MTV with Adam Carolla.  Saw/heard him on Loveline all through college and never thought twice about him, and then saw him again on TV not long ago and went, “hmmmmmm...” ;) And Crichton (Ben Browder) from Farscape.  Meow.

I am old—think Daniel Jackson on Stargate SG1.  And Jack O’Neil who plays dumb but is really a smart guy.

I was SO in love with Gilbert Blythe from Anne of Avonlea, I honestly used to think what is wrong with Anne, Gilbert (or Gil, as I like to call him) is such a hottie! LOL
