i’m Alma. i’m an artist and i love science, technology and music.

i just found this place and i feel like its one of the most amazing and empowering things i’ve ever seen, its so sweet! i just got my MAT in art education but am still struggling through life in the best possible ways.

the new things i learned this week are:

1.) if you ever hurt your body by trying to do helpful things (like running, exercising, chasing after and playing with kiddies, or just running around crazy trying to get all those important little things done in the day), just take time to let your body and mind have a break. NOTHING ever gets better when you push yourself to hard. Sometimes you just need a few to relax, unwind, and heal.

2.) found an awesome book combination: the Dali Lama’s book “The Art of Happiness” and “Ninja Mind Control”

3.) keep old sketchbooks and notebooks; you can suddenly stumble upon something that you did that is totally amazing, but you didn’t realize it at the time. and it makes you happy to find something amazing about yourself! =]

4.) cut out all High Fructose Corn Syrup from your diet.
One: it can be classified as a toxin and that means major trouble for you liver, pancreas, and kidneys
Two: you actually feel better almost immediately after its all outta your system.
Three: its in almost EVERYTHING. so it makes grocery trips feel like a scavenger hunt, but that’s fun too.

5.) “Love is giving people the freedom to be just who they are, not trying to make them be just who you want them to be.” that was my friend jeff’s fb post today! i just thought its nice to share!

Thanks for the site and all of you!

Peace!
