but seriously… I sort of focused on a lot of signal processing in my last few years of school, and there was always this fun debate going on about which was better… analog or digital. i’m not just talking about signal processing here, I’m talking about EVERYTHING. wires, sure, but also who you are, the way you think.
digital sounds newer and fresher. it’s less likely to be corrupted by noise and easier to handle when reading, storing, or processing with a computer. it’s more vulcan, it means making a decision and sticking with it. you’re either going or not going.
analog is purer and represents the truth with no compression or quantization. it can be an infinite number of in-between values. it’s tougher to process sometimes, but you could argue that it’s the way the world is.
what do you love more? what do you use more? what kind of person are you? it all sorta goes hand in hand, if you’re geeky enough.
