Negative criticism? “I don’t care and you don’t matter. I am better than you because...”
Positive criticism? Smile and graciously say Thank-you. Make it a mental point to remember the good things said and who said them so you can remember a few weeks later when you’re not feeling up to par in a situation.

I posted up some photo shoot pictures I took with my car on a car enthusiast site. 19 guys said “Woo hoo!” and 1 said “I didn’t see any women there, all I saw was a Linebacker”. I just laugh at the one guy who said I was a line-backer, it’s now a running joke with my friends. But I will never forget the two guys who said “I dropped my gum” and the next guy said “Hell, I dropped my teeth”.

Thanks that makes me feel much better.

I did an amateur night at a local strip club. Nothing like 100 random men who you will never see again clapping and cheering for you. :)

okay, we’re going to have to hear more about this one!  i bet you could ask 1000 people what engineers do in their spare time and you wouldn’t get a single “strip!” answer.  seriously, what’s it like?  have you done it more than once?

I was an exotic dancer for three years while back and forth with school. I’d work a semester, go to school for a semester. Finally I saved up some cash and went 3 semesters straight through, one calendar year, to finish my last semester with 19 credit hours and senior design. (I almost died I swear! LOL)

Performing a set is like singing in the shower with the radio on loud when nobody else is home. You can be whoever you want to be. It’s part real, part acting, part partying, part princess, part athletic. You’re basically working-out for 8-10 hours every day. If you weren’t in shape when you started, you’re gonna be in shape in 2 weeks. It’s the most addicting job I have ever had. Where else can you make $300-$500 a night and get paid to drink, smoke, and party? They’re just boobs.

Disclaimer: I do not encourage young ladies to do this because of the social and political reprucussions. It is a matter of personal choice and I have no regrets.

Ha ha you don’t even need to go that far I think what HerAlterEgo is inferring is get out of your comfort zone, live life! Everyone does this differently. There has to be something that you’ve always wanted to do but just never ‘(wo)manned-up’ to it? What ever it is and for what ever reason you decided not to do it, think over it again and if any of your reasoning involved the phases:

- I’m not good/pretty/tall/loud/proud/purple enough
- No one wants to see/hear/listen/know my opinion/voice/elbow

THEN DO IT!!!

If heels, skirts and glits aren’t you don’t fake it, just be yourself! That doesn’t mean you can hide from who you really are because of any of the above reasons, if you have ever read a magazine or gazed into a shop window and thought if only that suited me then you are hiding! Be proud of who you are and what you do, unfortunately due to societies pressures this is a rare ability held by females but that doesn’t mean you cant start.

And just so you know you are definitely not alone.

which has a big advantage? the Electrical engineering grad or the Computer science grad?
I’m going to college next year and i have not been able to choose from the 2 course that I like which is COMSCI and EE.

thank you for saying this, it’s exactly what I was going to say!  It took me a good solid year in engineering to learn that the guys didn’t actually know more than me, they were just confident and better at faking it.  i think it’s a major difference between men and women, when we’re first starting out.
