Hi ALL!

I believe that this site will provide some much needed inspiration to girls and women all over who are tired of hiding their inner brain or beauty. The girls with brains can be the beautiful girls and the beautiful girls can have brains. 

I hope that one day when I meet someone, ANYONE guy or girl, outside of the general engineering community, and I tell them that I am a bioengineer.. I hope that instead of that person looking confused or just walking away because they were expecting something less “nerdy”, that they will actually see my inner nerd as something that makes me more beautiful.. and not less.

Anyways, I am glad I stubled onto this site. My name is Sarah, I graduated from UIC last May, I’m about to be 23 (4 days!) and I am a bioengineer employed in the medical device industry in the Chicagoland area. I look forward to being a part of this community!
