Hi Everyone,

My name is Jill and I graduated from University in 1992 with a bachelors degree in computer science. I worked for about 10 years as a system administrator and Java 2 programmer (yes my age is showing :).  Anyway, I took a hiatus from working to raise 2 children.  They are now both in school, so here I am trying to figure out how to proceed with my life.

So I’m basically trying to decide if I want to try to get back into the professional world of software engineering and also trying to figure out how I would even do so.  I just started a Tech based blog (http://www.tekkiefreak.com) and so far have been having a great time running that. :)

Hope you are all enjoying being Nerd Girls.  For those of you who are just getting out into the professional world, I do hope things have changed and that you will find yourselves able to focus on working and doing great and fabulous things rather than dealing with large egos and crazy office politics.
